Barton Churches Together have set up a space for Prayer Ribbons outside Trinity Methodist Church in Barton. People are invited to bring their own ribbons and tie them to the railings on Chapel Lane as a way of praying for or remembering someone.

There are prayers on the railings that you might like to use or you can simply tie a ribbon to remember someone. When the ribbons are taken down they will be made into artwork which will be displayed in our churches as a memory of this time.

Barton Trinity Methodist Church has been on this site since 1816, and the present building was opened in 1861, and is a Grade 2 listed building.

We offer a warm welcome to all, and believe that we exist to glorify God, make Jesus better known, serve God with gladness, both in the church and in the world, challenge injustice, and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, learning more about him through prayer and bible study.

There are special services throughout the year for the great Christian festivals of Harvest Festival, Advent, Christmas, Covenant, Lent and Holy Week, Good Friday and Easter Day, Pentecost Sunday and others.

Holy Communion is available regularly.

We try to offer friendship, fun, and often food, through various activities within the church:

Join us for coffee every Saturday Morning from 10am

Rooms are used by various local community groups for meetings, and rooms/lecture hall are available for hire and regularly used for children’s parties.
