Living Later Life Well is a project delivered through Trinity Methodist Church, aimed at reducing social isolation in older residents of Barton upon Humber and the surrounding villages. We work alongside existing services to identify and support older people who feel disconnected from their communities, and who would like to take part in activities and meet other people.
The aim is to develop a vibrant and inclusive programme of activities based at Trinity Methodist Church, to encourage people to leave their homes and join in. The activities are entirely led by interest, so please get in touch if there’s something you would like to see on offer!
Loneliness is seen by many as one of the largest health concerns that we face – it affects people of all ages, but is particularly prevalent in older people. The Living Later Life Well project exists to reduce barriers to participation, and support our vulnerable older community to reconnect with each other and enrich their lives.
If you have an older friend, neighbour or family member who is feeling isolated and would appreciate contact to help them engage in community activities, please get in contact and we will be happy to help.
A free monthly newsletter is produced to promote activities and services on offer locally, specifically aimed at older people. If you would like to receive a copy via email, please contact us via the details below.
